¡SuperImposed!

Well so far my plan for Leymebamba has fallen through and I have had to adjust my plans a bit. I have been traveling with a Chilean, Julie, from Santiago and her boyfriend from Lima selling Jewlery in Macora. We had left our main luggage at his house in Catacaos near Puira considering that it would be smarter to not carry such valuables to the beach. Though there are several tourists and a fair girth of activity, there is always the danger of being robed or assaulted if you dont obey the rule of never walking alone late at night and not carrying valuables as much as possible. Mancora is quite interesting, it is rustic but carries several surfers and the like. It has a clash of local presence but a foreign economy. The Police seem to be the most corrupt of them all and it is essential that you are always careful and conscious with everyone that you cross. Peru is a county extremely beautiful and there is so many contrasts in the landscape; Sierra, Mountains, Jungle, Desert. They piece together a country completely and fully breathtaking.
I speak Spanish everyday, all day long practically since the moment I arrived and have now found that when I speak English my prepositions are those of castellano influence rather than my own language. It is so strange to switch between English and Spanish but because I am selling my crafts to both spanish and foreign customers I am slowly getting better at the transition.
I think my plan is to head north for a bit to Ecuador so that I can renew my visa for Peru and then head back down toward Cuzco and Machu Picchu. There is a huge festival of the Sun called ¨Interaymi¨ (spellings off) and it is a celebration in the Incan culture of the birth of the Sun.
Im still sketching out my routes but I think Ive picked up a nice trade that helps propel me economically and spiritually.
