Sticks and Stones...

What an adventure that has, yes, already bequeathed to me its thorny clauses. I received my vaccinations just last Tuesday and realize the burning fluid they had injected under my skin is not dead but dormant. I now have the pestering onset of a cold and feel like my body is fighting against the Yellow Fever, or maybe even Typhoid... an obvious exaggeration of which my body still believes. Aside from such encounters I still feel the world turning and I am trying my best to keep up. Between searching for travel insurance and wanting to throw all the finacially demanding requisites out the window, I find a growing gremlin appear with his filthy paw in the cookie jar. I understand the need but am concerned about my future plans and durations.

I am quite please to say that I now have my location in Ecuador picked out... a quiet place called the Sanilogde beside a "remote dark water lagoon". I will take off from Peru in June and will see what Ecuador means when they say "remote". From what I gather I will again be teaching english and hope that my first experience gains head and I will be better prepared for what to expect. The local indigenous groups speak Kichwa along side spanish and seem to be well versed in the area after hundreds if not thousands of years of tradition. I hope to open my fledgling mind to a world of basic natural beauty; to ride athwart instead of "straight and narrowly". So I continue to build my ladder, step by step, and am growing exceedingly zealous to reach the top!
