Trujillo/Huanchaco

Well so far I have made it to Huanchaco which ended up being the beach of Trujillo... makes sense. I stayed in Trujillo last night upon arrival from my supposed 8 hour bus trip that ended being aroun 9 and a half. I had the privilege of having a 3 year old pruvian boy seated right behind me. He rattled and chattered for 4 straight hours something of which I had not know was possible seeing that he had probably an 8 word vocabulary that consisted of cama, cometa, bush, ya esta(n), capeche and baja. There were some words in between but I am pretty sure he was just making them up. I literally thought that I was going to do something horrid until... finally... he.. shut.. up. So after I descended from the bus with a splitting headache I moved toward the phone so I could talk to my coordinadora and find out what the plan was. I had found that I was still on my own seeing they had nothing lined up until two days later. I grabbed a taxi and found the closest hostel which turned out not to be the cheapest. Arriving at the baracaded front door I found a petite dark woman about mid 50s who quickly shuffled me in through the door. Quite nice but longwinded along with the majority of the peruvians that I have met. She took me in and spend the next 30 minutes talking without any glipse of a breath. I was so tired I literally had to get up and walk away seeing that there was no end in sight if I had stayed.

I hung out the next day in the hostel for a bit, got some packages of sunscreen that quite rightly may only end up covering one leg. "Hay mas?" "No" the chubby lady behind the conter informed me. So I set off back toward the hostel where I listened to another peruvian man tell me stories of his second job which was a security guard and ChanChan which I guessed was some very old ruins dating before even the arrival of the mayans. I got a taxi to Huanchaco and bid farewell my newly befriended Trujillians swearing to return someday.
